Miles Partnership

Miles Partnership is a travel-focused marketing agency that works with all sorts of clients in the tourism sphere. From hotels to cruise ships to destination marketing organizations (DMOs), Miles Partnership creates a wide variety of content to help their clients thrive.

I was originally hired at Miles Partnership to fill in for a content manager while she was on leave. After that three-month period, the team at Miles loved my work so much that they asked me to stay on for an additional five months as a content “overflow” person. Whenever there was just too much work for the team to handle, I would step up and take some of the projects off their plates.

During my time at Miles, I worked on many types of content for over 30 different clients. I wrote promotional emails for hotels, website landing pages for cruise ships, social media ads for spas, blog posts for restaurants, print articles for DMOs — and all of that was just the beginning.

Even after being phased out as the content “overflow” person after nine months, I still continue to work with Miles as a freelance writer for articles, blog posts, and landing pages, primarily for DMOs. I’ve worked on both B2B and B2C content for clients like Experience Kissimmee, Visit Virginia Beach, and Brand USA.

One of the coolest projects I worked on while at Miles was the InnScene Magazine for Select Registry. Not only did I help Miles secure Select Registry as a client, I also got to write three of the six articles in this in-print magazine (Food & Drink, Our Town, and the feature: Small Trips from the Big Apple).

 
 

The THesis Hotel Miami was one of my main clients while working as an independent contractor at Miles. I primarily wrote SEO-focused articles like this one to increase the hotel’s Google search presence.

 
 

Social media ads are a huge part of content marketing today. While working on these Instagram and Facebook ads for Celebration Station, I was able to strengthen my social media copy skills and draw traffic to this charming arcade chain.

Like social media marketing, email marketing is a vital part of any successful content campaign. To increase bookings, I helped write some of the themed monthly emails for The Sherry-Netherland hotel in Manhattan.
